Plan attendance around the property

The postcode, type of system and access arrangements all belong in the attendance enquiry.

Check the location and scope together

Provide the full property address and postcode, the affected areas and a short description of the problem. A location alone does not establish that the right team or method is available.

ADI covers England, Scotland and Wales. It does not currently list Northern Ireland as a service area. Check the actual postcode, required specialism and available appointment when calling. Confirm coverage with ADI for the property before booking.

Confirm the arrangements in writing

  • Availability for the actual postcode and system.
  • Attendance window and any access dependencies.
  • Out-of-hours availability, where offered.
  • Survey price, VAT, travel and exclusions.
  • Expected report delivery and how additional work is agreed.

Urgent problems

A phone enquiry does not automatically dispatch an engineer. Use the building’s established emergency contact arrangements for an active incident. Attendance is only confirmed when the provider explicitly accepts the instruction.

Prepare the job details.
